SO sorry this is late this week...
This block has a lot of pieces...
just take your time!
It's really the same kind of thing we do every week!
Our dies are a little different than the directions
OUR DIES:
Since our blocks are a finished 16" block,
Again, our dies come from the 8" GO! Qube.
I used die #1, #2, #5, #8
(Other dies available will be posted at the end of this blog.)
Let's start cutting our fabrics...
Fabric A:
12 - 2.5" Squares
These are used for 2 different things...
you will dies cut
4 - 2.5" squares
using die #2
Start stiching
Stitch corner to corner
Then press it toward the outside
This is my chain piecing
Then add the other HST
and stitch
Press to the ouside.
And done!
(or cut by hand)

8 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
8 - 2.5" x 4.5" restcangles
using die #8
FABRIC B:
1 - 3.5" x 7"
These will be made into 4 HST
So just cut 4 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
4 - 4.5" Squares
using die #1
FABRIC C:
1 - 4.5" Square
using die #1
FABRIC D:
16 - 2.5" Squares
These will be used as HST
So cut 16 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
1 - 6 7/8" Square
you'll subcut diagonally
Let's just cut 4 - 4" fin. HST
using die #3
FABRIC E:
8 - 2.5" Squares
These will be used as HST
So cut 8 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
FABRIC F:
1 - 3.5" x 7"
This is the othr half of the Fabric B HST
Cut 4 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
8 - 2.5" Squares
These will be HST
Cut 8 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
4 - 2.5" x 4.5" rectangle
using die #8
4 - 2 7/8" Squares
These will be HST
so cut 8 - 2" fin. HST
using die #5
(I don't think you need another picture of die #5...LOL!)
On page 2,
Fabric D:
It calls for 2.5" squares,
you'll be using the 2" fin. HST
I lay them out to make sure it's all right
Start stiching
Stitch corner to corner
Then press it toward the outside
This is my chain piecing
Then add the other HST
and stitch
And done!
Do the same for fabrics F & A

These are calling for the 2.5" Squares
BUT...
we cut out 2" fin. HST!
Like this...
At the bottom of Page 3
is the 3.5" x 7' rectangle to make HST.
We already cut the HST!
So just sew them together!
The rest is just as Gina's directions are written!
Just take your time...

This one is stunning, Nina! I'm interested in the dies. How pricey are they? Can I get started with a minimal investment in case I don't care for it?
